The History Jockheck Jewellers

jockheck-history

David is a third-generation master model maker and goldsmith working in platinum and gold.  He proudly continues a family tradition that began in 1936, in Bremen, Germany, with his grandfather, Walter Max Jockheck, whom had the Masters papers stamped by the German government, allowing him to start his own jewellery store.

David began his apprenticeship in 1976, with his father, Walter Fredrick Jockheck.  David became an integral member in the firm of “Jockheck and Nawratil Jewellery LTD.”.  In 1981, David’s father was commissioned to produce an exquisite broach for the Royal Regiment of Canada, as a wedding gift, presented to Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles, to commemorate their marriage.

David has since gone on to work with many respected high-end jewellery firms here in Canada and spent five years with the prestigious house of Harry Winston in Manhattan, New York.  He now creates his own pieces here in Burlington, hand crafting his designs and designing amazing custom order pieces, all fashioned in house and ensuring his customers are involved in the process of their designs.
